Contemporary artistic practices have undoubtedly undergone new dialogues and strategies, legitimizing the work of art. Encaustics is an ancient technique that I have been using for the last 10 years, allowing me to create a new genre of artwork.
I meticulously mark the wax with a tattoo machine, creating overly ornamented, repetitive patterns in which I camouflage nostalgic comics. This surprise element plays an important role by engaging with the hidden archetypes of the collective unconscious from a three-dimensional aerial view.
